Children are currently learning touch and tag rugby with Connacht Rugby Club & Community Rugby Officer Tom Newell.

Touch and tag rugby are safe and fun ways to introduce rugby to primary school children. All the necessary skills are taught through fun and games without physical contact.

Following their rugby training stint, the sixth class children eagerly participated in and thoroughly enjoyed an interschool rugby blitz held in conjunction with Corrib Rugby.

The event, held at the Corrib Rugby grounds in Headford, allowed children from a variety of schools and classes to showcase all they had learned. A great day was had by all. Many thanks to all the organisers, volunteers and sponsors for a great event.
