Engineers Week Presentations
During Engineers Week, children presented their engineering feats to other classrooms. All of the children displayed their Engineers Week cardboard chairs in the main corridor for the other children, parents and wider school community to admire and some chairs were even tested out!
4th, 5th and 6th Classes-Pancake Day
Fourth, fifth and sixth classes used their maths skills to measure and mix ingredients and make pancakes. They were very good at explaining to Junior Infants how pancakes are made and discussed the safety aspects of making pancakes when Junior Infants came to see their work. Everyone got to enjoy some pancakes too!
Green Schools Fairtrade Coffee Morning
As part of our Green Schools Global Citizenship work this year, the Green Schools committee organised a Fairtrade coffee monring to highlight the importance of sustainability. Senior classes completed Fairtrade projects and displayed them in the hall.
Third Class Butterflies
Third class enjoyed watching butterflies develop. They kindly presented their STEM work to the other classrooms as the butterflies progressed through their life cycle.
