Christmas Concert 2016

Come back soon to see photographs.

This year our annual Christmas concerts took place on Thursday the 15th and Friday the 16th of December.

The children from the Hussey School of Dancing started the show with a selection of dances. The brush dance was performed by the senior boys.

Junior and Senior Infants performed Ralph the Reindeer. In this play, Rudolph the reindeer came down with the flu so Ralph chipped in to help Santa deliver all the presents to all the boys and girls around the world.

This year the school band played two classic Disney tunes.  The first tune was called The Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book and this was followed by I Just Can’t Wait to Be King from The Lion King.

First Class followed with a play called The Night before Christmas.

Born in a Barn was this year’s nativity play and Second and Third classes did a great job. This nativity play was about Jesus being born in a stable on Christmas day.

Fourth, Fifth and Sixth classes ended the performances both nights with Bugsy Malone. In this play, Fat Sam and Dandy Dandino are fighting over whose joint is better. With the help of Bugsy Malone they let friendship double up their powers!

Both nights finished up with a raffle and the children sang Amhrán na bhFiann.

Thanks to all involved and to all the people who attended.
